The City of Orange will recognize Kevin Smith and his legacy in football on Friday, February 2nd at 7:00 pm at the Riverside Pavilion as part of the Mardi Gras on the Sabine weekend!

Kevin Smith, a native of Orange, TX, is a football icon known for his exceptional career spanning high school, college, and professional football. His achievements include two State Championships with the West Orange-Stark Mustangs, a Southwest Conference Championship with Texas A&M University, and three Superbowl Championships with the Dallas Cowboys! In the most recent chapter of his illustrious football career, Kevin became the twelfth Aggie to be named to the College Football Hall of Fame. These highlights are just a glimpse into Kevin Smith's storied football career.

Join us in honoring Kevin for his exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and enduring impact on the game and congratulating him on this well-deserved recognition!

High School Successes
Kevin Smith's football journey began in Orange, TX, where he emerged as a force to be reckoned with. In high school, he achieved significant success as a football player with the West Orange-Stark Mustangs, winning back-to-back State Championships! His exceptional skills and contributions to the team set the foundation for his future accomplishments.

College Football Glory
Kevin continued his football journey at Texas A&M University, where he played a fundamental role in the team's success. His time with the Aggies was nothing short of extraordinary, as he played a pivotal role in winning the Southwest Conference Championship, setting numerous records along the way. His contributions to the football program solidified his legacy as a key figure in Texas A&M's football history. Whoop!

NFL Stardom with the Dallas Cowboys
Kevin Smith's prowess on the field did not go unnoticed, leading to his selection as the first-round pick for the Dallas Cowboys in the 1992 NFL draft. As part of the Cowboys, he became an integral member of the team, contributing significantly to three Superbowl Championships!
