ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Free State Cellars estate vineyard was planted by one of Texas' wine pioneers, Alfred J. Flies. Honored by the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association on four separate occasions for his contributions to the Texas wine industry, his wines received over 70 wine competition medals including ten belt buckle awards, representing four International Best of Class honors and six Texas Best of Class from The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Wine Competition. ORANGE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Orange Economic Development Corporation entered into an agreement with Free State Cellars on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, for the expenditure of funds for infrastructure improvements in an amount not to exceed $167,000 for the purpose of economic development.
Phase 1 of the Free State Cellars improvement plan is a $500,000 capital investment addressing parking, an event lawn, pavilion, and dock to Adams Bayou.
