Tropical Depression 9 - Weather Update

Tropical Depression Nine Update #2:
(8/26/21 @ 4PM)


According to the National Weather Service – Lake Charles, Tropical Depression Nine is expected to make landfall on the Louisiana coast Sunday evening as a category 3 storm. Our region has a 20 - 40% chance of seeing tropical storm force winds and can expect 1 to 3 inches of rain. The National Weather Service – Lake Chares has medium to high confidence Tropical Depression Nine will make landfall on the Louisiana Coast.

The City of Orange Office of Emergency Management continues to monitor this system and will post updates when available.

Citizens are encouraged to continue monitoring local media sites and official social media outlets for current information.
