Notice of Adopted 2025 Tax Rate

The City of Orange, Texas adopted a tax rate that will raise less taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate.

The tax rate will effectively be lowered by 3.83 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $31.39.

STAN, the Southeast Texas Alerting Network, is a messaging and notification system that keeps the communities of Southeast Texas informed about emergencies and other important events in the area. Through STAN, industrial companies and emergency management officials can notify you about emergencies, industry, or weather events occurring in Southeast Texas.

STAN has been upgraded and previous accounts registered before September 15, 2023 are now inactive and will need to re-register on the new system.

The City of Orange Plans & Inspections Division is responsible for the inspection of construction projects to determine compliance with the building codes and ordinances as well as the approved site plans.
