The 2025 Summer Reading Program was one for the books! Check out some of the events from the summer, and stay tuned for information on the 2026 Summer Reading Program!
Wednesdays from 10:30 am - 11:30 am
The Summer Reading Program for elementary schoolers going into 1st – 5th grades will be held on Wednesdays from June 4th through July 9th from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. Readers will participate in a different program each week, featuring art, agriculture, science, and wildlife!
- June 4th: Nature Explorers presented by Shangri La Botanical Gardens
- June 11th: Art in Every Direction presented by Stark Museum of Art
- June 18th: “Take That, Hurricane!” presented by Rebekah Hair
- June 25th: The World of Color presented by The Art Museum of Southeast Texas
- July 2nd: Color Lab presented by Beaumont Children’s Museum at Riverside Pavilion
- July 9th: Gator Country at Riverside Pavilion
- July 16th: Summer Reading Program Carnival
*Due to limited seating, only students will be allowed inside the meeting room for each program, except the Library Carnival and events held at the Riverside Pavilion. Parents are required to remain inside the Library for the duration of the program.
How to Participate:
Readers can sign up at the library for a Summer Reading Program to attend any of the weekly events. Attendance is not mandatory and is free of cost. Registration begins Tuesday, May 27th, with the first program beginning on June 4th.
When children register, they will receive a reading log to record their reading/listening time. Participants will receive a Library Buck for each program attended and for returning their reading logs during the Library Carnival. All Library Bucks may be spent at the Library Store during the Library Carnival!
